The culture of Kays/Signet had dramatically changed over the last few years, Women are consistently paid less than men for the same position. Men are also promoted more than women despite tenure, experience and or performance. The hours are very demanding and and make work life balance extremely difficult. We are often forced to clock out to meet legal requirements but end up working off the clock. More and more expectations are demanded with less pay, resource and payroll to do it, Many people in leadership positions have not earned the right to be there. There's been weeks I've worked 60+ hours and don't notice much difference in my pay checks. Management pushes their responsibilities off on other people and want to throw a fit when it's messed up. It isn't a team environment but they want to make you split your sales saying we are a team. But will be quick to leave you off sales and your standards start to fall behind everyone else. Just that some people can get away with anything thats against policy but yet the minorities (not Hispanic or African Amercians) get warnings and sometimes get written up for things the others do and get away with it.

And has great benefits and that take care of their employees. Signet Jewelers, (Kay Jewelers to be exact) is a fantastic company to work for if you've got the drive. They provide benefits which is wonderful. Their benefits package is outstanding. They pit employees against each other for 'top seller' of the day, week, and month. Corporate will join in on some of these, specifically around the holidays to drive sales.
